What is EduMove?
Every individual, regardless of limitations, deserves a proper, comprehensive education that would help them become productive and proactive members of society. EduMove's mission is to enable everyone, in spite of physical and/or financial limitations, to reach their highest potentials.
EduMove is a non-profit organization, supported through donations and grants. Our services are available mainly through this website, and through video tutorials. Our primary services are:
RISE: Many children and adults who suffer from physical disabilities face difficulties in completing secondary school, especially in developing countries, where there is a dearth of facilities. With RISE (Rise Institute of Specialized Education), individuals can complete primary and secondary education, with an optional vocational route, at the convenience of their homes, completely free of cost, and attain recognized certifications upon completion. The optional vocational route is designed to impart skills for careers that are popular among individuals facing similar difficulties. RISED (RISE Diploma) is provided on completion of the optional track. The course materials are available in both Online Video format and Text format, so that individuals who don't have access to computers can also study using printed materials.
LifeChair: Financially insolvent individuals with physical disabilities face an additional difficulty of not being able to afford a mobility device. Even after acquiring education, such individuals face restrictions to employment. To specifically tackle this problem, we have invented a unique mobility device, LifeChair. EduMove provides three different Do-It-Yourself (DIY) models and demonstration videos here in this website, for helping you make this cheap, modifiable, bamboo wheelchair, along with an approximate cost breakdown.
Additional services that facilitate and supplement our primary services are:
Our Partners: EduMove aspires to create a global movement, like students in Asia helping their peers in South America complete online assignments, to organizations taking classes based on our course materials. "Donor Partners" and "Activity Partners" can intercommunicate using this feature. "Ambassadors Worldwide" acts as a self-assigned, voluntary wing for spreading awareness of EduMove’s services.
The Class: An online forum where classmates all over the world can help each other with different academic tasks and build lasting relationships.
ECAs: Education is incomplete without participation in Extra-curricular activities. The activities we provide alongside our academic studies, help in building a versatile person and a proactive citizen:
1) Regulated Online and Live Debates
2) Community Blogging
